A Mammo(n)th Task

Josh Mammon started the last three tables as once of the short stacks with just over 100,000. But somehow now he's on to nearly 900,000.

The button raised to 67,000 and Phong Huynh made it 225,000. Mammon pushed for 170,000 or so more with the button quickly folding. Huynh made the call with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} but was up against Mammon's {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} which held on a {A-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {3-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {2-Spades} board.

Most of the players are fairly deep now, it could be a while until we make the final table.

Shows the Bluff One Time

Danny Fuhs just showed a nice bluff. He raised it up and got three callers before {K-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {2-Spades} flop came down. Fuhs bet 130,000 and only Heimiller called. When the turn came {8-Hearts} Fuhs bet 275,000 forcing Heimiller to fold.

"I'll show the bluff one time" said Fuhs as he flipped up {10-Spades} {9-Clubs}.

Fuhs on 1,500,000 to Heimiller's 1,920,000.

Crabtacular!

Crabs can be good for you.
Crabs can be good for you.
Kevin McColgan raises from late position to 80,000 and Phong Huynh reraises all-in from the button for a total of 394,000. It's passed to Stephen Ma in the big blind who announces call and McColgan is faced with a decision.

After two minutes, he makes the call with {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}, Huynh shows {3-Spades} {3-Hearts} and Ma flips {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}. Eric Chhor tries to touch fists with Ma for the good situation he is in but the latter refuses, not wanting to jinx himself.

The board comes {5-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. A rivered trey sends some of Huynh's friends crazy with celebration, though he himself tries to stay calm.

Ma slumps in his chair, winning a small side pot against McColgan, the latter almost forgotten in the hand, is knocked out as a result.

Huynh has about 1,400,000 now.

Battle of the Blinds

Harsh way to fall
Harsh way to fall
It was folded around to Jamie Armstrong in the small blind who raised to 90,000 before James Matz III moved all-in. Armstrong called all-in with {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} and was in good shape against Matz's {A-Spades} {9-Hearts}.

The board ran {5-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}. The three outer appeared on the turn to send Armstrong crashing out in 16th place for $44,801. Matz up to 1,450,000.

That's Ma Lot

Steve Ma didn't manage to get back from that bad beat. He moved in UTG with ten-jack but was called by a player with ace-king that hit trip kings to bust Ma in 15th place for $ 56,651.

Oddo Outta Here

14th Place
14th Place
Danny Fuhs has just busted Andrew Oddo in a blind battle. There was a preflop raise by Oddo that Fuhs called before a {2-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {7-Clubs} flop came down. Fuhs called Oddo's bet before snap calling his all in bet on the {6-Hearts} turn.

Oddo tabled {2-Hearts} for bottom pair, but Fuhs had turned the nut straight with {8-Clubs} {9-Clubs} to eliminate Oddo in 14th place for $ 56,651.

Fuhs flying on 1,800,000.
