All In Fest

Unlucky for some
Unlucky for some
Phong Huynh raised to 150,000 before Josh Mammon moved all in from the next seat for 405,000. If that wasn't enough Nathan Mullen then moved all in for 900,000. Cue a long think from Eric Chhor in the big blind before folding what he claimed was queens. Huynh then folded what he claimed was pocket eights.

Mammon tabled {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} but he was behind to Mullens's {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. The board ran {3-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {10-Hearts} to knock Mammon out in 13th place for $56,651.

Sung Rivers Huynh

Phong Huynh raised to 100,000 and Steve Sung reraised to 300,000 behind him. Huynh made the call and we saw a {J-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {2-Clubs} flop, Huynh checked and Sung moved all in.

After some thought Huynh made the call with {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} ahead of Sung's {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}. The turn {4-Hearts} couldn't save Sung but the river was the {10-Clubs} prompting an explosion of noise from the crowd as the latter made the nut straight.

Soon after, Sung and Huynh sparred in another pot, this time blind on blind. Hunyh eventually moving all in on the river of a {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} {2-Spades} {3-Hearts} {5-Spades} for 325,000 forcing Sung to give it up.

As of now, Sung is on 2.2 million and Huynh has 900,000.

Two Double-Ups

Not sure how Sidebotham feels about his double-up!
Not sure how Sidebotham feels about his double-up!
Firstly it was the turn of Panayote Vilandos to double through James Matz III with {A-Spades} {K-Spades} v {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} on a {Q-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {4-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} board. This puts him up to 2,600,000 whereas Matz is down to 1,200,000.

Secondly it was the turn of Larry Sidebotham to double through Jeff Oakes with {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs} v {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} on a {3-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {7-Spades} {4-Hearts} board. Sidebotham was cheered on by his raucous railers and is now on 1,250,000. Oakes down to 1,650,000.

Doomed by Domination

Good game sir
Good game sir
Michael Scalise found a hand to get his short stack in with and unfortunately for him Dan Heimiller found a dominating hand to call with. {A-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} needed help against {A-Spades} {K-Spades}.

The board ran {9-Clubs} {3-Spades} {7-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} to send Scalise home in 12th spot for $80,567

Finn-ished

Toni Ojala is out in 11th place after he moved all-in against Dan Heimiller.

The Finn was holding {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} but the board favoured Heimiller's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} much more, coming {Q-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {8-Spades}.

With ten players left we're now moving to one table where we'll definitely play to nine players. Whether we finish tonight or come back tomorrow remains to be seen.

Reschedule Decided

After an open discussion with all ten remaining players it has been decided that players will come back in 30 minutes and play to the final nine players and then finish for the night. They will all return tomorrow at 2pm where the final table with be featured on ESPN 360.

The Wednesday Afternoon Nine

After one orbit of hands seven have taken the the blinds with a raise, two have been won with three bets and the final hand was taken with a continuation bet on a flop.

I think all the middle to short stack players really want to and are playing just to make it to tomorrow and be one of the "Wednesday Afternoon Nine".
