Advance Australia Fair

Daniel Negreanu opened to 600 from early position and was met with one caller before Warwick Mirzikinian made it 1,400 to go from the button.

Both Negreanu and the other player called, and then check-folded for 1,500 after the {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts} flop bet by Mirzikinian. He took the pot and moved to 38,000, flashing his {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}.

With this Australian player looking to take his shot at poker immortality, in just over thirty minutes time he'll have a chance to hear the fantastic Advance Australia Fair when Jeff Lisandro is presented with his second bracelet of the 2009 WSOP at the daily bracelet ceremony.

Easy Game for Some

Scott Seiver's stack is continuing to grow. He just rivered a full house with {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} on a {A-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {A-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {4-Clubs} and got paid off by an opponent with {A-?} {Q-?}.

Nick Binger then said to Seiver, "You find this game really hard, don't you?"

Seiver up to 45,000 now.

(Not Johnny) Chan Doubles

No Johnny here!
No Johnny here!
Terrence Chan opened to 900 from the cutoff. Jeremy Joseph called on the button and the small blind bumped it to 3,100 total.

Chan called, but Joseph decided to push all in. The small blind passed and the action was on Chan and his decision for his tournament life.

After close to three minutes of deliberating, Chan made the call for his last 13,625, and the cards were tabled.

Joseph: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Chan: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Chan would slam his hand down on the table when he saw the window drop the {K-Spades}, but when he looked back at the board again, he saw the {K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{A-Spades} full flop spread.

Now in the lead, he evaded another king when the {6-Diamonds} and {5-Spades} fell on the turn and river.

Joseph was left crippled with 1,300, and 'Not Johnny' Chan raked in the pot to move to over 37,000 and change.

Jack-Four the Nuts?

Busted

JC Alvarado has just been eliminated in slightly strange circumstances. There was a raise to 800, and a call, before he moved in for 6,775 with {J-Clubs} {4-Clubs}. The original raiser called with {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} and the board ran {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {8-Spades}.

Simon Says "Nice Hand"

In a battle of the 'S' names, Sam Simon has lost most of his chips to Scott Seiver. The board was out and read {J-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {6-Spades} {7-Spades} and Seiver's {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} was good for the pot as Sam Simon had {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}.

Seiver on 25,000 now.
