Blair Rodman Eliminated in 14th Place ($11,485)

Blair Rodman (Day 2) - 14th Place
Blair Rodman (Day 2) - 14th Place
Omaha/8

Andrew Radel raised from under the gun and then Blair Rodman took his stand from the next position as he called all in for 14,000 total. Action folded around to Adam Friedman in the big blind and he made the call as well.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {4-Spades} and Friedman check-called a bet from Radel as Rodman sat and awaited his fate. The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and Friedman led out. Radel raised. "Wow, a cold deck maybe?" mumbled Friedman as he made the call.

The river was the {Q-Clubs} and Friedman check-called a final bet from Radel. Radel showed {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} for the nut low and a flush. Friedman bettered Radel's flush with {J-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {3-Spades}. Rodman mucked his hand as he could beat neither Radel nor Friedman and was eliminated in 14th place.

Klodnicki's Brick Good for Fricke

Razz

After betting throughout had created a sizable pot on seventh street, Chris Klodnicki checked to Jimmy Fricke, and Fricke bet. Here's what they had:

Klodnicki (X)(X){5-?}{A-?}{7-?}{2-?}(X)
Fricke (X)(X){3-?}{7-?}{10-?}{6-?}(X)

Klodnicki stood up, leaned over, and studied Fricke's board. He considered for a full minute, then exhaled, showed one of his down cards -- a seven -- and folded.

Fricke is now up to 335,000, while Klodnicki has 145,000.

Good Timing for Radel

Limit Hold'em

Andrew Radel raised from early position, and it folded around to Adam Friedman in the big blind. After Friedman checked to see what Radel had left (about 30,000), Friedman called.

Both checked the {8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Spades} flop. The turn was the {K-Diamonds}. Friedman bet, Radel raised with his last chips, and Friedman unenthusiastically called.

Radel turned over {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} -- he'd flopped the straight. "I'm drawing dead," said Friedman as he turned over {A-Spades}{8-Spades}. Indeed he was.

Radel is up to 110,000, and Friedman at 217,000.

Another One for Jimmy

Omaha/8

Jimmy Fricke just scooped in another big pot with the board reading {K-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {9-Hearts}. There was substantial betting between Jimmy Fricke and opponent Trai Dang. At the end, Fricke announced, "Nut-nut." and showed {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {2-Clubs}. He is now up to 295,000 chips after beginning the day with only 47,400.

Full House for Fricke

Limit Hold'em

Rami Boukai raised from the cutoff, Trai Dang three-bet from the button, then Jimmy Fricke four-bet from the small blind. Eric Crain folded his big blind, Boukai folded, and Dang called.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Fricke bet, and Dang called. The turn was the {2-Spades}. Fricke again quickly bet, and Dang called. Fricke was already pushing out chips when the river came the {3-Hearts}. This time Dang raised, Fricke three-bet (with nearly the last of his chips), and Dang called.

Fricke turned over {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for queens full, and Dang held his cards for a while before finally turning them over face up -- {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. Fricke pushes up to 240,000, while Dang slips to 105,000.

Jimmy Fricke (Day 2)
Jimmy Fricke (Day 2)
2-7 Triple Draw

Dario Alioto opened the action with a raise and then Rami Boukai reraised from the button. The small blind folded and then Jimmy Fricke announced, "Four bets!" from the big blind. He was all in for 39,000 total. Alioto folded and Boukai made the call.

Fricke stood pat on each draw. Boukai first drew two, then drew two more, then drew one. Before looking at his last draw, Fricke revealed an {8-?} {7-?} {5-?} {3-?} {2-?}. Boukai was currently at a {7-?} {5-?} {3-?} {2-?}. He pulled a {9-?} and Fricke was able to double up and then some to 98,000 chips.

Tims Takes Turner in TD

2-7 Triple Draw

Jeff Tims raised from the cutoff, Jon Turner called from the button, and the blinds folded. Both players took two cards, Tims checked, Turner bet, and Tims called. On the second draw, Tims stood pat, and Turner gave his opponent a quick look before drawing one. Both checked.

On the third draw, Tims again stood pat and Turner again drew one. Both checked again, Tims showed {9-?}{8-?}{5-?}{3-?}{2-?}, and Turner mucked.

Tims moves up to 235,000, and Turner down to 400,000.
