Friedman on Fire

Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman
Pot-Limit Omaha

Just after that big hand versus Michael Binger, Adam Friedman was involved in another big PLO hand against Zvi Groysman, this time hitting a runner-runner spade flush to claim the pot.

Friedman moves up to 190,000, while Groysman slips to 42,000.

Binger Misses His 43-Outer

Pot-Limit Omaha

All of the money went in on the {Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades} flop. Adam Friedman had {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a set of jacks, while Michael Binger had {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a set of queens.

The turn was the {8-Spades}, and Binger was still good. But the river brought the one-outer -- the {J-Hearts} -- causing Binger to sprint two tables away, a physical reaction to the hand's unpleasant conclusion.

Binger is down to 30,000, while Friedman moves up to 90,000.

Sabic Out in 25th

Pot-Limit Omaha

Sebastien Sabic limped in before Sergey Altbregin raised to 9,000 from the button. Layne Flack called out of the small blind and then action folded back to Sabic. He reraised to 38,000 and Altbregin called. Flack folded.

The flop came down {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and Sabic moved all in for about 40,000. Altbregin made the call holding {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {9-Diamonds}. Sabic held {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {8-Spades} {8-Clubs}.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {3-Diamonds}, putting three diamonds on board and giving Altbregin a flush.

Sabic goes out in 25th place ($5,695). They are now redrawing for the final three eight-handed tables.

Sarkeshik Sunk in 26th

Stud/8

Ali Sarkeshik was all in by fourth street. Meanwhile, Bob Slezak and George Lewis continued betting down to seventh.

Sarkeshik (X)(X){A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{A-Spades}(X)
Slezak (X)(X){J-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}(X)
Lewis (X)(X){3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}(X)

When all was said and done, Slezak turned over not one, not two, but three kings as his down cards, giving him quads. As neither of the others made a low, Slezak took the entire pot. Sarkeshik is out in 26th place ($5,695).
