Rasmussen Out in 19th

Stud

After building a big stack earlier in the day and challenging the chip lead, Thayer Rasmussen has been eliminated in 19th place ($7,050).

Rasumussen was all in on 4th street with three hearts, hoping to draw to a flush. He was up against Dario Alioto who already had two pair. However, Alioto filled up on fifth, meaning Rasmussen was drawing dead.

Binger Out in 20th

Michael Binger - 20th Place
Michael Binger - 20th Place

Michael Binger had been nursing a short stack ever since that big blow he took from Adam Friedman. He got all in on third street for the last of his chips against Trai Dang. The boards ran out as follows:

Binger: ({K-Clubs} {3-Clubs}) {7-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}
Dang: ({7-Clubs} {5-Spades}) {2-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}-X

Chop It Up

Omaha/8

Michael Binger was just fortunate to chop an O/8 pot with Keith Lehr. Binger held {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Lehr {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The board came {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, that jack on the end enabling Binger to make the same Broadway straight at Lehr.

Binger remains very low with 15,000. Lehr has 7,600.

Slezak Out in 22nd

Omaha/8

As the community cards came {9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs}, Bob Slezak bet the entire way until he ran out of chips on the river, and Layne Flack was there to the end.

As no low was possible, Slezak showed {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for aces, while Flack had {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, hitting a set on the river. Slezak is out in 22nd place ($7,050). Flack is now up to 287,000.

2-7 Triple Draw

Jens Voertmann limped in from middle position before Trai Dang raised on the button. Jeff Tims then reraised from the small blind and only Dang came along. Tims drew one and Dang drew two. Tims then led out for a bet and Dang called.

On the second draw, both players drew one. Tims led again with a bet and this time Dang raised. Tims made the call.

On the third draw, Tims drew one while Dang stood pat. Tims then led with a bet before Dang raised. Tims made the call.

Dang showed number one with 7-5-4-3-2. Tims shook his head and showed number two, 7-6-4-3-2.

Dang - 158,000
Tims - 25,000

Zvi Groysman Out in 23rd

Zvi Groysman was all in before the first draw against Adam Friedman. Both drew one on each of the first two rounds. On the third, Groysman took one and Friedman stood pat.

Friedman showed the unbeatable {7-?}{5-?}{4-?}{3-?}{2-?}, and Groysman mucked, having been eliminated in 23rd place.
