Huge Hand Sends Petrov Out in 30th, Ankenman Into Chip Lead

No-Limit Hold'em

After a player opened with a raise from middle position, Chris Klodnicki called, and Vojislav Petrov then reraised all in with his last 9,300 from the cutoff. Jerrod Ankenman repopped it to 40,000 from the small blind, the original raiser folded, Klodnicki pushed all in for his total stack of 240,000, and Ankenman called with his last chips as well.

Ankenman {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Klodnicki {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Petrov {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The perfect storm. The flop came {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and the turn {3-Diamonds}, and Petrov was still in the lead. But the river brought the {Q-Clubs}, giving Ankenman the huge, 380,000-chip pot, knocking Klodnicki back to 65,000, and eliminating Petrov in 30th place ($5,695).

Iacofano Ends in 32nd

Stud

Kevin Iacofano was all in against Zvi Groysman and looking for a spade, a jack, or some other card to pair up or give him trips on seventh street with ({K-Hearts})({9-Clubs}) {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{Q-Spades} against Groysman's ({4-Diamonds})({4-Hearts}) {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Groysman got the {5-Diamonds} on the end, which didn't improve on his two pair, but Iacofano didn't get what he needed and mucked. He's out in 32nd place, for which Iacofano takes home $5,695.
