Riebe Lands On Broadway

On the first hand back after retaking their seats, Duffy Riebe and Barry Bounds went to war. Riebe moved all in for 92,000 from middle position and Bounds called out of the big blind. Riebe held {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} in a standard coinflip against Bounds' {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs}.

The flop put Riebe on Broadway with {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} {10-Clubs}. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the river the {3-Clubs}. Riebe's double up received a round of applause from his railbirds as he moved to over 200,000.

Jeff Heiberg Eliminated in 21st Place ($12,784)

Jeff Heiberg checked the flop of {A-Spades} {J-Spades} {5-Clubs} to Barry Bounds. Bounds bet 80,000 and then Heiberg moved all in. Bounds made the call with {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} and was ahead of Heiberg's {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds}. The turn and river were the {4-Spades} and {6-Clubs}. Heiberg was sent to the rail muttering to himself, "I didn't need to do that, I didn't need to do that."

We were also just notified that Barry Bounds is a life saver. He rescued one of the members on the rail's grandson from drowning recently, a feat far more important than any poker tournament.

Marvin Darnold Eliminated in 22nd Place ($12,784)

Marvin Darnold raised to 48,000 from the hijack and Michael Morusty re-raised to 80,000. After the call, we saw a flop of {5-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}.

Morusty led for 100,000 and Darnold moved all in. Morusty called and showed {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} vs. {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. He faded an ace when the board finished {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades}, and nearly doubled up while Darnold left in 22nd spot with $12,784.

John Bennett Eliminated in 25th Place ($12,784)

Jeff Heiberg was all in preflop for 48,000 from the button. The small blind, John Bennett, called and then the big blind, Barry Bounds, called as well.

The flop came down {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {7-Clubs}. Bennett moved all in on the flop for 111,000 and was called by Bounds.

Showdown
Heiberg: {K-Hearts} {2-Hearts}
Bennett: {A-Spades} {3-Hearts}
Bounds: {A-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}

The turn was the {Q-Hearts}, completing a flush for Heiberg, and the river was the {2-Spades}. Bounds was able to scoop the side pot with a pair of sevens.

Bennett was eliminated on the hand in 25th place while Bounds moved up to 280,000. Heiberg moved up to 163,000 as well on the hand, almost quadrupling his stack.
