No Guth

John Guth, who won an O8 bracelet a couple years back and has numerous cashes, all of them in O8 or PLO8, is up to 14,000 and in great shape.

With a fairly hefty pot amassed by the river of the {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {K-Spades} {7-Spades} board, Guth bet out and Paul Darden called him, but mucked when Guth turned over {Q-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {3-Clubs} {2-Spades} to scoop.

Graham Crackered

Matt Graham dropped a few chips at the start of the day and is now perched on around 6,000.

No help from this chopped pot, though. He bet to a check from his opponent on the river of a {3-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} board and his opponent called.

Graham: {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {3-Spades}
Mr. Opponent: {4-Hearts} {8-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}

Kravchenko Quartered

Alex Kravchenko had a fairly good start, but just now dropped a little after making it to the river of a {6-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {10-Spades} board in a three-way hand and discovering that he was only getting a quarter of the pot, his {2-Spades} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {Q-Spades} low chopping with another player holding {2-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}, and the third player took the high with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {8-Clubs}.

Kravchenko's on 8,000 right now.

Maridu Up

Maridu Mayrinck is up to 9,500 after calling a bet from the small blind on a {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {9-Spades} board, the big blind calling too.

All three players checked the {2-Clubs} river, and Maridu's {A-Spades} {4-Spades} {9-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} was good to take the lot -- both her opponents just mucked.

Rock Out With Your Croc Out

Billy "The Croc" Argyros has just arrived -- and hilariously and appropriately he's sat down next to our friend Mike "Gator Man" Longo. We're hoping to see some hot croc-on-gator action any minute now.

In the meantime, though, he got himself involved with another player at the table on a {J-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {8-Spades} {A-Clubs} board. Argyros turned over {5-Hearts} {3-Spades} {8-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} for the low, while his opponent took the high with {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds}.

They're Still Pouring In

To be honest, who can blame them? These are long days and the action is fairly, if you'll pardon the pun, limited in the early stages of this kind of tournament.
