Woe betide any poor try-their-luck tourist who fancied a shot at a bracelet and now finds themselves seated at table 184 -- seats 7, 8 and 9 are currently occupied by respectively Kristy Gazes, Todd Brunson and Gavin Smith. Good luck, everyone there!
A pot for the transatlantic Sasha Rosewood (American apparently living in the UK). In a threeway pot, he called a bet on the flop, and then all three players checked down the turn and river. "I have a king," Rosewood announced at the end of the hand, and indeed his single king was enough to take the pot.
Three-way action in here already, with Mel Judah in the small blind calling a bet from under the gun on a flop, and the gent in the big blind calling too.
The action on the turned checked around to Mr Under The Gun again and once more he bet; once more Judah called, but this time the big blind raised. Both Mr Under The Gun and Judah called, and they saw an river, which appears to have had minimal action on it.
When the cards were turned over, Messrs Big Blind and Under The Gun chopped the high, but Judah picked up a fair few chips by taking the low.
Hmm, not a good day for Miami John Cernuto over in the other tournament. He seems to have collapsed and been carted out on a stretcher, although he was recovering a bit by the time they carried him away...
