The Bring In Does Win Sometimes

Razz

Billirakis: (X-X) {7-?}{5-?}{2-?}{K-?} (X)
Buss: (X-X) {4-?}{A-?}{9-?}{9-?} (X)
Richey: (X-X) {4-?}{J-?}{Q-?}
Bonomo: (X-X) {4-?}{K-?}

Steve Billirakis was the bring in with Jerry Buss completing. Brett Richey and Justin Bonomo both called, as did Billirakis.

On fourth street Buss caught best and led out with Richey calling. Bonomo folded to his brick and Billirakis called along.

On fifth street Billirakis took the lead with Buss the lone caller as Richey bricked once again.

Both players bricked on sixth street and checked as Billirakis got one more bet in on the river. Billirakis revealed ({3-?}{6-?}{9-?}) for a seven-low which was good as Buss mucked.

Annie Duke Up to 250K

Annie Duke
Annie Duke
Stud

Jani Sointula (X)(X){J-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} (X)
Eli Elezra (X)(X) {A-Spades} {8-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {6-Spades} (X)
Annie Duke (X)(X){10-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {A-Hearts} {J-Spades} (X)

Jani Sointula completed on third street and both Eli Elezra and Annie Duke called. All three players checked fourth and fifth streets. On sixth, Sointula led out, Elezra called, Duke raised, and both her opponents called. Sointula checked dark on the river, Elezra checked, Duke bet and both Sointula and Elezra gave up their hands.

With that pot, Duke is up to 255,000. Sointula is above-average with 172,000 while Elezra is down to 45,000.

Kostritsyn Crippled

Stud-8

Duke: (X-X) {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Kostritsyn: (X-X) {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} (X)
Kassela: (X-X) {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{K-Spades} (X)

Annie Duke completed and Kostritsyn called before Kassela popped in a raise. Both opponents called before Kostritsyn took the lead on fourth. Kassela raised again to force a fold from Duke with Kostritsyn making the call.

On fifth Kassela led before Kostritsyn took over, firing bets on sixth and on the river. Kassela made the call.

"Two pair," said Kostritsyn but Kassela tabled ({Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}) for queens up to scoop. Kostritsyn was left on the short stack with just 17,000 as Eli Elezra commiserated with him.

"We can't win today Alex, we're both dead!" said Elezra who is also one of the short stacks of the field. The two then agreed to a deal that if one of them wins the tournament then they would pay back the other their buy-in of $50,000. So there's still some hope!

O8 Saves Eslami

Ali Eslami
Ali Eslami
Omaha-8

Ali Eslami limped in from early position, David Bach limped from the cutoff, Gus Hansen raised from the button, Andy Bloch called from the small blind and both Eslami and Bach called the additional bet. The flop came down {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {2-Clubs}. The action was checked to David Bach, who bet. Hansen raised, Bloch folded, Eslami called and Bach called. The turn came the {J-Diamonds} and Eslami checked to Bach, who fired again. Hansen folded and Eslami called. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and this time Eslami led out. Bach thought for a moment before deciding to raise and Eslami made the call.

Bach showed {A-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {4-Spades} {3-Hearts} for two pair nines and deuces, but Eslami had him crushed with {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {2-Spades} for trip deuces. Eslami raked in the pot and got a much-needed chip infusion, his stack now up to 63,000.

It's Good to be Jesus

Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson
Hold'em

Chris Ferguson raised from middle position before Justin Bonomo put in a three-bet from the big blind. Ferguson made the call and they took a flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Bonomo led out with a bet before Ferguson raised. Bonomo reraised and Ferguson called. The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and Bonomo fired again. This time Ferguson just flat called.

The {7-Hearts} fell on the river and Bonomo fired a third barrel however Ferguson put in the raise. Bonomo paid him off only to see Ferguson table {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for the full house. Bonomo mucked and slips 110,000 with Ferguson now up to a healthy 242,000.
