Talk About Running Good

David Williams raised from under the gun, Greg Mueller reraised from the small blind, and Williams called. Before the flop came out, Mueller went ahead and tossed out a bet before the cards even appeared.

The flop was a curious {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Williams folded, and Mueller flashed the {K-Hearts}.

"I wish I hadn't bet!" said Mueller.

More for Mueller

Greg Mueller
Greg Mueller
Greg Mueller raised from under the gun, Marc Naalden, sitting to his left, reraised, and it folded back around to Mueller who made the call.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Mueller checked, Naalden bet, and Mueller check-raised. Naalden called.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}. Mueller bet, Naalden raised, Mueller three-bet, and Naalden called.

The river was the {8-Spades}. Mueller bet and Naalden called. Mueller showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, and Naalden mucked.

Mueller is up over 1.5 million now, with Naalden his nearest foe with 750,000.

Updated Chip Counts

With betting limits of 20,000/40,000, we're seeing a lot of rapid fluctuations in the chip stacks now. Here's a recent count, from the beginning of four-handed play:

Greg "FBT" Mueller -- 1.35 million
Marc Naalden -- 925,000
David Williams -- 710,000
Millie Shiu -- 490,000

Matt Sterling Eliminated in 5th Place ($35,058)

Matt Sterling - 5th Place
Matt Sterling - 5th Place
Matt Sterling was already the table's short stack when he found himself in a hand in which he had bet the river on a board of {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, only to get raised by Greg Mueller. Sterling called and showed his {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}, and Mueller showed {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the rivered straight.

Crippled on that hand, Sterling was all in before the flop in the next one, up against both Mueller and David Williams this time. The flop came {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Mueller bet, and Williams called. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, Mueller bet again, and Williams got out.

Mueller showed {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for sevens and Sterling turned over {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. The river was the {9-Hearts}, giving Mueller two pair and knocking out Sterling in 5th place.

Naalden Over Williams

Marc Naalden raised from the button, and both David Williams (small blind) and Millie Shiu (big blind) called.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and all three checked. The turn was the {4-Clubs}. Williams bet, and both Shiu and Naalden called.

The river was the {K-Hearts}. Williams bet, Shiu folded, Naalden raised, and Williams called. Naalden showed {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, and Williams mucked.

Nice One for Naalden

Millie Shiu raised from under the gun, and Marc Naalden called from the big blind. The flop came {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Naalden checked, Shiu bet, and Naalden check-raised. Shiu called.

The turn came the {10-Hearts}, and Naalden bet. Shiu called. The river was the {9-Clubs}, Naalden bet, and this time Shiu let it go.

Naalden is over one million now -- our chip leader -- while Shiu is at 750,000.

Rockets Turn Up Again at the Shootout

Millie Shiu
Millie Shiu
Matt Sterling raised from under the gun, and it folded around to Millie Shiu who called from the big blind.

The flop came {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Shiu checked, Sterling bet, and Shiu called. The turn was the {J-Hearts}. Shiu checked again, Sterling bet again, but this time Shiu check-raised. Sterling called.

The river was the {2-Spades}. Shiu bet, and Sterling called. Shiu showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, and Sterling mucked.

Shiu has 825,000, while Stirling is down to 180,000.

Williams Wakes Up with Aces

Marc Naalden raised from the small blind, David Williams reraised from the BB, and Naalden called. The flop came {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Naalden checked, Williams bet, and Naalden called. The turn was the {Q-Clubs}. Naalden again checked, Williams bet, Naalden check-raised, and Williams called.

The river was the {J-Diamonds}. Naalden bet, and when Williams raised, Naalden thought for about thirty seconds before folding. Williams showed his {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} as he dragged the pot.
