Cover Blown for the Champ

The defending champ Peter Eastgate is starting to get busy at his table but his cover might have just been blown after the following hand.

Eastgate opened with a raise from middle position to 5,500 with one late position caller coming along.

They took a flop of {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Eastgate fired 7,000 which his opponent called. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and both players checked. The river brought the {Q-Clubs} to put four clubs on board and again both checked it down.

Eastgate didn't have a club as he tabled an ambitious {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} but it proved to be the best hand as his opponent mucked. Eastgate is up to 220,000.
