Tran Can Fold Aces

John Monnette opened for 22,000 from UTG+1. Thai Tran, who was chatting to his tablemate, did not see the raise, and attempted to open the pot himself for 21,000. Once he realized his mistake, he called the additional 1,000. Scott Cook called on the button, Joe Hachem called from the small blind and Craig Zotter called from the big blind.

All five players saw a flop of {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. The action was checked to Tran, who bet 59,000. Cook raised to 179,000, Hachem, Zotter, and Monnette folded and the action was back on Tran.

Tran tanked for a bit before flashing the {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} as he folded. Cook took down the pot and Tran's stack fell to 1,000,000.
