Newman Runs Out Rusnak

Frank Rusnak - Out
Frank Rusnak - Out
Just before the break...

Clayton Newman opened the pot with a raise to 80,000, and he found two callers on down the line. The flop came out {6-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {10-Hearts}. Newman fired 175,000 at the pot, and this time only Frank Rusnak came along with the call.

Heads up then, the turn brought the {4-Diamonds}. Newman moved all in for a healthy 960,000, sending Rusnak deep into the tank. With the break clock already ticking down, it would take several more minutes for him to make his decision. Finally, he very quietly announced, "I call," committing his final ~650,000 chips to the pot.

Showdown
Newman: {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
Rusnak: {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

Newman was well ahead with his top pair and the flush draw, and the {7-Hearts} on the river locked up the pot. Frank Rusnak has been eliminated, and Newman moves up to 3.2 million in chips.
