Ellis Gives Cernuto a Good Caning

Miami John Cernuto completed with the {9-Clubs}, and Freddie Ellis stayed in with the {2-Diamonds} up. On fourth street, Cernuto picked up an open pair with the {9-Spades}, and he double bet it. Ellis' {J-Hearts} was worth a call. On fifth and sixth streets, Ellis called single bets from Cernuto.

Cernuto: (X-X) / {9-Clubs} {9-Spades} {8-Clubs} {10-Hearts} / (X)
Ellis: (X-X) / {2-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {5-Spades} {6-Diamonds} / (X)

On seventh street, Cernuto slowed down, tapping the table. Ellis took the opportunity to bet, and Cernuto called him down. Ellis opened up {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}, which was more than Cernuto could beat. Ellis' queen-high flush was plenty good enough to chip him up to 265,000, leaving Miami John with less than 50,000.
