Freddie Ellis Runs Better Than You

Just another day at the office for Ellis.
Just another day at the office for Ellis.
Can anyone stop the darling of media row, Freddie Ellis? We sure hope not. In an ideal world we'd be completely partisan, but there's just something about the affable Ellis that has us pulling for him.

Ellis recently calmly called every street against Ivan Schertzer, drawing (X-X) / {7-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {3-Hearts} / (X) against Schertzer's (X-X) / {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} / (X). Even despite a double-bet on fourth street with an open air, Schertzer couldn't shake Ellis. Down the river, Ellis bet, then produced the {8-Clubs}, the {6-Clubs} and the {Q-Spades} for an eight-high straight (and one of Schertzer's needed queens) after Schertzer called. He couldn't beat that hand.
