No Badbeat Here

Neil Channing raised to 275 from the cut-off before the SB reraised to 800. It folded back to Channing. He quickly moved all-in and was called. Channing tabled {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts}, but needed a lot of help against the SB's {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts}.

That help didn't come on a {10-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {10-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} board. Channing's got a couple of hours off before he tries his luck at the later event.

Three's Hitting All Over

The board was out {10-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {8-Spades} and Joe Sebok led out for 825 from the small blind. His opponent called before the river came {3-Clubs}. Sebok set his opponent all in. His opponent called with {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}, but it was no good against Sebok's {3-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} that rivered a set.

Sebok up to 7,500 now.

Could Be a Hot Year

Be warned, hot to touch.
Be warned, hot to touch.
Nelly's table was broken after he left and "Bodog Ari" Engel was moved two to the left of Isaac Haxton. The two wasted little time getting involved as well.

The flop read {3-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {8-Clubs} and Haxton bet big and Engel called, creating a really big pot. The turn {2-Hearts} came before Haxton moved all-in for 5,500. Engel didn't take too long to call with {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}, but quickly got up and left after Haxton tabled {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} for a flopped set.

The river came {5-Diamonds} to send the 20,000 pot Haxton's way. He told me he's played two hands, hit two sets and busted two players. Not a bad start.

Too Hot for Some

2nd pair no good.
2nd pair no good.
"Bodog Ari" Engel is sitting at the same table as rapper Nelly.

And it was Nelly who was involved in a pot. The flop read {J-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} and the already short stacked Nelly led out for 300, only to be set in by his opponent. Nelly called with {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} but was behind his opponent's {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs}.

The turn {9-Diamonds} ended it and Nelly said, "Stupid game," and walked off.

Sing Along

Just spotted David Singer and he was involved in a pot at the river stage with the board reading {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {4-Diamonds}. Singer was in the small blind and fired out 1,000. He was facing a player in the cut off who announced a call like he was in a lot of pain and mucked upon seeing Singer's {A-Clubs} {3-Spades}.

Singer on 3,825.

Ho Down

A player on the button raises and Maria Ho calls from the SB. The flop comes {J-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} and Ho check calls a 150 bet. She does the same on the {3-Diamonds} turn but this time it's for 550. When the river comes {5-Clubs}, the bet is 1,100 from the button and Ho calls but mucks when she is shown {K-Spades} {J-Spades}.

She's on 2,000 now.
