All's Quiet, For Now

The Pavilion Room stretches for what feels like miles.

In the back corner the Rio hosts satellites to bracelet events, and all of the periodic yelling and excitement is coming from that part of the room. All we can hear on this side is a quiet buzz and the riffling of chips.

Maybe the recently spotted Hevad Khan can go 2007 Main Event for us. One time?

Also, Antonio Esfandiari is sitting next to adult entertainment actress Samantha "SammyRyRy" Ryan. We're going to try and remain in earshot of the two because something golden is bound to be said.

Even More Notables

Another 2009 November Niner is in the field today. James Akenhead is fresh off of his celebratory day with friend and fellow countryman Praz Bansi.

Maybe the most anticipated player in the 2010 World Series of Poker is here too; Annette Obrestad.

Joining those two in the field today are Faraz "The-Toilet" Jaka, Steve, "pikappraider" Burkholder, Shannon Shorr, Tommy Le, Isaac Haxton, Alex Bolotin, Shane "shaniac" Schleger and Justin Bonomo.

Jerry Yang?

Jerry Yang is usually very outgoing and very boisterous.

Today, however, he is hiding beneath a black jacket with the hood all the way up trying his best to be incognito. Best of luck to him, it's hard to miss a Main Event Champion at your table.

Fast Start For Clements

With 1,450 in the pot and the board reading {J-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}, the player in the small blind bet 800. Scott Clements popped it to 2,000 in middle position and his opponent called.

The river brought the {2-Clubs} and it was checked to Clements. He bet 1,500, receiving a quick call. Clements tabled {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}, besting his opponent's {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, to chip up to 8,700.

More Notables

While swimming through the aisles in the Pavilion Room we've spotted some more notable players.

Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy is in the field today and so too are Arnaud Mattern, Boris Becker, Tony Dunst and Jacobo Fernandez.

There are two tough tables in the room as well.

Table 240 hosts Scott Clements and Jason Sackler who finished 36th in one of the two previous $1,500 events this series.

Table 113 is a doozy: Carter Phillips, Barny Boatman and defending WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Cada.

Time for Another $1,500

This is the third of seven full table $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em events here at the 2010 World Series of Poker. The first event attracted 2,092 runners and the Englishman Praz Bansi defeated Vincent Jacques heads up for the bracelet and $515,501.

The second event saw an increase to 2,341 players and is currently down to three tables. Phil Hellmuth is still alive searching for his 12th bracelet.

We expect another huge field in the Pavilion Room, and thus far we've spotted Antonio Esfandiari, Jeff "yellowsub86" Williams, Luke "IWEARGOGGLES" Staudenmaier and Lauren Kling.

The cards will be in the air momentarily so keep it locked for all your live updates!
