A Triple Up!

Stud 8/b

Robert Mizrachi completed with the {8-Clubs} and Kostritsyn called with the {J-Diamonds} leaving himself just 3,000 more behind. After bringing in with the {2-Diamonds} Vladimir Schmelev also made the call.

On fourth, Schmelev checked to Mizrachi who made a bet. Kostritsyn tossed in his last chips, and a side pot was formed when Schmelev also made the call.

Again the action went check, bet, call on fifth street between the two live players, before sixth street was checked. On seventh, Schmelev led with a bet and Mizrachi looked him up.

When all was said and done the boards looked like this:

Mizrachi: (X-X) {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Spades} (X)
Kostritsyn: ({J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades}) {J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts})
Schmelev: ({A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}) {2-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts})

Schmelev took the side pot with kings up, but Kostritsyn tripled up with trip jacks to scoop the main pot! He's back to 230,000.
