Michael Gross Eliminated in 9th Place ($38,629)

Michael Gross - 9th Place
Michael Gross - 9th Place

The last few three-bet shoves at the table got through, but Michael Gross wasn't so lucky. Kiet Tran raised to 85,000 from middle position, and Gross quickly moved all in on the button for a total of 462,000. Tran called, and it was time for showdown. Gross was in great shape with {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} to Tran's {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. The flop, however, didn't look quite as great. Tran took the lead with {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, and the {3-Hearts} and {6-Hearts} that fell on the turn and river didn't do anything to save Gross. Instead, he is the table's first casualty, and Tran is up to 2.8 million.
