Luske in Trouble

Marcel Luske: {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}(X) / {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Mark Janeczek: {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} / {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Marcel Luske is in some trouble - we saw him call bets from mark Janeczek on sixth and seventh streets, and then fail to beat Janeczek's two pair or his six low. After that, Luske was at just 3,500 as they headed into their break.

By the by there had been some sort of controversy during the hand, the nature of which we failed to ascertain, but Janeczek was apologizing and the two players shook hands as they headed into the hallway.

Snoopy on Harrington

There are a number of player who are short stacked heading into the break. One of those is Brent Harrington. On the final orbit, he found herself all in against Gina Hecht, but managed to chop up the pot with a boat, aces full of kings. Hecht took the low for a stack of 22,000, whilst Harrington remains around the 13,000 mark.

Grinder Freeroll Falls Short

We arrived at Michael Mizrachi's table and found him all on fifth street against Joseph Santagata. In no particular order, Mizrachi's cards were {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Mizrachi made an 8-7-6-5-A low and a ten-high straight.

Santagata began the hand with rolled up kings and his board read {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}/{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. He sweated the last card, turning over the {K-Diamonds} for quads, chopping the pot with Mizrachi.

Santagata: 28,000
Mizrachi: 6,000

MacPheeling Good

Kevin MacPhee: {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Anton Brenner: (mucked) / {4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Marcandrea Trevisanato: (mucked) / {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Anton Brenner was all in on third street, but betting continued between Marcandrea Trevisanato and Kevin MacPhee - MacPhee bet every street and Trevisanato check-called him all the way.

Come showdown MacPhee tabled his wheel, and both his opponents mucked.

MacPhee, who by the by is among the speediest stackers we have seen in this or any event, was at roughly 40,000 after that.

Sjavik It Large

Jan Sjavik: (XX) / {5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Paul Sokoloff: (XX) / {4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

We caught up with the action on sixth street, the pot sizable. Jan Sjavik bet and Paul Sokoloff thought about it for a long time. Eventually he laid it down, leaving himself on just 4,000. Sjavik meanwhile increased to 26,000.
