Baker's Ladies

Pat Walsh raised from the cutoff seat, and David Baker made it three bets from the small blind.

The two players took a flop of {2-Spades} {4-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}, and Bakers follow-up bet was quickly called. That led to the {9-Clubs} turn, and Baker checked this time before calling one of Walsh's big bets. Both men check-checked the repeat {A-Spades} on the river.

Baker was first to show, tabling {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} for aces over queens. That was good; Walsh mucked his way down to 315,000, and that pot boosts Baker up to 185,000.

DeBora Doubles Again. And Again!

Greg DeBora was back down to 20,000 when he got it in with {A-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}. Michael Mizrachi looked him up with {Q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}, and DeBora was fighting for his tournament survival.

The flop was a disastrous {Q-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {3-Spades}, but the turn {A-Hearts} pulled DeBora back into the lead. The {5-Diamonds} on the river secured his double up, and he was back to 40,000 just like that.

A few hands later...

Matt Keikoan raised before the flop, and DeBora called to see the dealer put out {K-Spades} {7-Hearts} {8-Clubs}. DeBora got his chips in again by calling Keikoan's three-bet raise, and the news was not good:

DeBora: {10-Clubs} {7-Clubs}
Keikoan: {K-Diamonds} {6-Spades}

DeBora was behind with bottom pair, but things turned around in a hurry on the {7-Spades} turn. That gave him trips and a hammer lock on the pot, and the {A-Diamonds} on the river secured his second double up within the orbit. DeBora is back up to 70,000 or so, and now it is Keikoan riding the dangerously short stack of just 40,000.

DeBora Returns the Favor

Just to make things interesting, Greg DeBora has just sent a double up back to Matt Keikoan in a coin flip.

Keikoan was at risk with {J-Spades} {J-Clubs}, and DeBora was racing for the knockout with {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {2-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}, and that set of jacks earns Keikoan the double up to put both players right at 57,000 chips.
