Situation Critical for Waggoner

Omaha 8/b

Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy, Marsha Waggoner and Jon Aguiar have all landed on the same table here in the late stages of Day 1. Josephy opened a recent pot with a raise from under the gun. Waggoner called from middle position; Aguiar got in there from the big blind.

Each player put in one bet on a flop of {k-Spades} {3-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} and then checked the {5-Spades} turn. The board paired trey with a river {3-Spades}. Josephy led with a bet that both opponents called. Josephy tabled {a-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {j-Hearts}, the second nut low. Aguiar tabled {4-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {9-Spades} for a seven-high straight. Waggoner got caught in the middle and mucked.

Waggoner is super short now with just 2,000 in chips. Aguiar has roughly 24,000 and Josephy has 21,000.
