Toy Man Not Playing Around

David Cohen
David Cohen

On a board reading {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}, a man calling himself David "The Toy Man" Cohen moved all in, but not before hitting a button that played a drum roll with an orchestra behind it.

Cohen got one call and turned up {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} which were able to stay ahead of his caller's {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

He's one of our more entertaining players today with a chest full of toys and a full rotation of colorfully themed hats.

Phillips Breaks 10k

Dennis Phillips raised to 300 preflop and got called by the player in the big blind. When the flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, the big blind checked and Phillips bet 525. At that point the big blind raised it to 1,525 and Phillips called.

The turn fell {5-Clubs} and both players checked. They would do the same on the {4-Spades} river.

When all the action was complete, Phillips' opponent said "Just jacks." Meanwhile Phillips tabled {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} for top pair and took down the pot.

Phillips now has 10,600 chips.

Not long after that he was in early position with a flop reading {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts} against one opponent and won it when he bet 375 into the middle.

You Win One, You Lose One

Tom McEvoy was involved in a three-way pot with a flop reading {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. He was checked to in the big blind and fired a bet of 150, encouraging the cutoff and small blind to fold.

However, McEvoy lost those chips in the next hand when he called a bet of 150 on a board reading {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. His opponent showed {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and McEvoy mucked.

Present, McEvoy is sitting at 1,825
