Dwan Survives

Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

There are few tables remaining here in Round 2, but the encounter which is garnering the most attention is that of Tom Dwan versus Andrew Rosskamm. As Erik Seidel looks on from the end of the table, a camera sits menacingly above, capturing the action from multiple angles.

Meanwhile, Dwan is entwined in a hand and facing a bet of 12,000 on a {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} board. His opponent is determined not to give a read, his hood zipped up to his nose, whilst his sunglasses ensure there is little flesh on offer.

But when Dwan announces all-in for a total of 22,800, the hood is removed and the mystery of Rosskamm is finally revealed. Now it's time for Dwan to return the favour with his own poker face, and it's one of disgust, almost as if he's just been told some tragic news that he's unable to digest.

His foe keeps him waiting for a long time, and fortunately there is no light in his eye on this occasion as he remains cucumber cool. Eventually, and after pitching up tent in the tank, Rosskamm finally makes the fold - showing the {7-Hearts} in the process - and Dwan picks up a vital, potentially match-turning pot.

Dwan back up to 62,000.
