A KO for Leo

Leo Margets her her opponent slightly covered when he moved all in for 40,000 with {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Margets stood up to sweat her {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and her rail let out a big cheer when the board came {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}. After standing up to the mighty king-queen, Leo is back to 90,000.

What a Sweat!

Peter Dufek and an opponent had gotten it all in preflop when we were told there was big action happening on Table 368. And big action there was.

With over 250,000 in the pot, Peter Dufek had flipped up {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and was up against the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of his opponent. The flop provided plenty of sweat when it came {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, but the turn and river were bricks, bringing {8-Hearts} and {7-Clubs}.

Dufek has climbed near the top of the chip counts with his newly acquired stack of 252,000.

Double KO For Pasillas

We recently wrote a post where Edin Pasillas had doubled up Boyd Plowman on a runner-runner flush when it looked like the pair would be chopping.

Pasillas just had a turn of good luck when he found himself in a five-way pot with one player all in preflop. The flop was {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Pasillas moved all in for about 105,000. A player to his left called and the other two involved in the pot folded.

Pasillas: {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Caller: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Preflop All In: {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Pasillas faded any additional clubs as the hand played out with the {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river. His jack-high flush was good for a double elimination.

Michnick Moving Up

Mike Michnick bet 12,500 at a {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. His opponent on the button raised to 27,000, and Michnick promptly moved all in for another 42,000. The button called all in with {a-Spades}{6-Spades} and was going to need help against Michnick's {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. The {4-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} weren't what he needed, and he made his exit while Michnick chipped up to 132,000.

Graczious

Sabyl Landrum raised to 4,500 under the gun, and the next player to act flat called. Maciek Gracz thought for a minute in the cutoff before reraising to 17,000. Maciek's squeeze got through, and he took down the pot.

He hadn't finished stacking it yet when he raised the next hand to 4,500. Next to act, Brent Roberts three-bet to 12,000. Gracz folded. Easy come, easy go. Gracz had 52,000 to raise with, and Roberts is up to 70,000.

Plowman Makes Good on a Freeroll

Boyd Plowman made an under the gun raise to 4500. Over in the next seat Edin Pasillas raised to 10,000 and action folded to Plowman who called, leaving just 16,000 behind.

The flop was {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Plowman wasted no time moving all in with Pasillas not hesitating to call.

Plowman: {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Pasillas: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Plowman was freerolling his way to the river and made a flush when the board ran out with a diamond on the turn and another on the river.

Philippe On the Rise

Uzan Philippe has started to make a mark on his table having nearly doubled his stack over the last hour. He's now sitting with about 126,000 chips.

He recently picked up a few more when Ryan D'Angelo raised under the gun to 4,600. Action folded to Philippe who re-popped to 16,500 and D'Angelo folded.

Margets Gets Lucky

Leo Margets raised to 4,500 under the gun, and a player in middle position moved all in for just over 20,000 total. Action folded back to Margets, and she snap-called with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Her opponent looked like he was good for a double up with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. But the flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}, giving Leo the lead. The {9-Diamonds} turn and {j-Clubs} river sent him packing.

"Sorry," Margets said. Another player at the table yelled at her for apologizing when she wasn't really sorry. "I am," she said. "I don't want to win like this. I don't mind getting the put, but ..."

Margets is up to 145,000 now.
