Dinner Break

Just one hand was played over on the main feature table before the level concluded and players went on their 60-minute dinner break. Play will resume at approximately 8:05 p.m. local time.

Final Table Seating Assignments

Players have made the move over and are now playing the last couple of minutes of the level before we go to break. Here's how they are seated:

Seat 1 -- Reagan Leman
Seat 2 -- Jeffrey King
Seat 3 -- Paul Varano
Seat 4 -- Derric Haynie
Seat 5 -- Michael Cooper
Seat 6 -- Dustin Dirksen
Seat 7 -- Justin Scott
Seat 8 -- Brett Shaffer
Seat 9 -- Steven Kelly

Kelly Catapults

While that double-knockout was happening over on Table 375, we had some big action at the same time nearby at Table 376.

In a blind-vs.-blind battle between Justin Scott (SB) and Steven Kelly (BB), not much had happened before the {Q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. But a lot did after.

Scott led for 66,000, Kelly reraised to 140,000, Scott reraised again to 311,000 -- enough to put Kelly all in -- and Kelly tanked for several minutes before calling.

Kelly had {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for queens, and Scott {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for treys. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and river the {K-Diamonds}, and Kelly catapults to more than 900,000. Meanwhile, Scott tumbles to just over 140,000.

There has been a redraw and the remaining nine players are moving over to the main stage. We are just minutes away from a dinner break, too. More to come!

Down to Nine

Michael Pesek - 10th place
Michael Pesek - 10th place

With that double-knockout, we are now down to just nine players. Since Michael Pesek had Annette Obrestad outchipped when that hand began, he finishes in 10th place.

We now have an official final table thanks to a double knockout by our new chip leader Derric Haynie.

Haynie opened to 36,000 on the button and Annette Obrestad shoved for 310,000 from the small blind. Michael Pesek re-shoved for 460,000 from the big, and the action was back on Haynie. He removed his glasses and massaged his temple, trying to work out the situation at hand. He had both players covered with 492,000 in his own stack, and he decided to commit the majority of his chips for a chance at a double knockout and a final table birth:

Showdown
Haynie: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Obrestad: {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Pesek: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Everyone in the vicinity crowded around the table to see the dealer fan {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

"High cards!" Alex Keating shouted from the rail.

The dealer wrapped the table and delivered a low card, the {3-Diamonds}, which officially eliminated Obrestad in 11th Place. Pesek could still double with an ace or a queen however.

The {j-Diamonds} on the river missed Pesek though eliminating him in 10th place and nearly tripling Haynie's stack to 1.26 million chips.

Leman Leaps, Scott Sinks

Reagan Leman
Reagan Leman

Justin Scott opened with a raise from the cutoff, and it folded to Reagan Leman who reshoved all in for 307,000 more from the big blind. Scott tanked for three minutes, then called.

Leman showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, while Scott had {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}. The flop came {7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{A-Hearts}, giving Leman trips. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and river the {Q-Hearts}, and Leman doubles to about 700,000. Scott sits with about 605,000 now.
