Half is Plenty Good for Friedman

When six people limp into a pot, getting half isn't just a moral victory -- it actually improves your stack. Perry Friedman was one of six limpers to a flop of {4-Spades} {2-Hearts} {6-Hearts}. After one check and a bet, Friedman called. Three others folded before the initial checker also called.

On the turn {3-Hearts} the action went check and bet again, but this time Friedman raised. The player in between called before the original bettor re-raised. Friedman and the third player both called.

Each player put in one bet on the {8-Diamonds} river. Friedman showed {a-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {j-Hearts} for a wheel; his aggressive opponent showed {a-Hearts} {2-Spades} {4-Hearts} {q-Hearts} for a flush; the third player mucked.
