Kaas Chipping Up

David Chiu brought in with the {k-Clubs} and Randy Kaas called with the {A-Spades} up.

"I'll let you chop if you want?" asked Chiu as the dealer delivered him a {7-} and Kaas a {Q-}.

Kass fired out a bet, and after some deliberation, Chiu folded.

Kass tabled his hole cards of {3-}{2-} to collect the pot and move his stack up to over 82,000 in chips.

Bari Takes Another

He ain't in . . . cause he went busto yesterday!
He ain't in . . . cause he went busto yesterday!

Catching the action on fifth street we found Allen Bari and Thomas Ricketts exchanging a number of bets before just one was exchanged on sixth as both players checked seventh.

Rickets: (X)(X) / {4-}{A-}{J-}{Q-} / (X)
Bari: (X)(X) / {3-}{8-}{4-}{J-} / (X)

Bari tabled his {5-}{6-} / {J-} to prompt a fold from Ricketts as he slipped to 4,000 while Bari climbed to roughly 84,000 in chips.

"You can title that one Bari Takes Another!" whispered Jason Mercier to our reporter.

Anything for you sir!

Ospin' It Up

Dee Tiller's spell at the top of the chip counts was short-lived. We only saw the showdown, but it looked like so:

Tiller: {3-}{9-}{2-} / {6-}{3-}{2-}{7-} for a 9-7-6-3-2 low
Daniel Ospina: {a-}{a-}3x] / {5-}{q-}{4-}{8-} for an 8-5-4-3-A low

Tiller dropped to a still pretty hefty 80,000. Ospina upped his stack to 50,000 or so.

Schneider, Doft Day Is Done

Mickey Doft bites the dust alongside Tom Schneider
Mickey Doft bites the dust alongside Tom Schneider

Kristan Lord completed for 1,500 only to have Mickey Doft bump it up before Tom Schneider called only to have Matt Grapenthien make it 4,500 to go. Lord passed, and Doft made it 6,000 to go with Schneider calling only to have Grapenthien cap it at 7,500 with both Doft and Schneider calling.

When fourth street arrived, Schneider checked and Grapenthien fired out 1,500 with Doft committing his last 1,100 and Schneider making the call to see Schneider call a bet on fifth before calling all in on sixth with the following boards being shown.

Doft: {3-}{2-} / {6-}{6-}{Q-}{8-}
Schneider: {A-}{6-} / {8-}{2-}{J-}{A-}
Grapenthien: {4-}{3-} / {5-}{8-}{10-}{8-}

Grapenthien flipped over his {9-} to improve to a nine-eight as Schneider folded his hand after not improving on seventh.

With Doft needing to find an ace, four, five or a seven to stay alive, he slowly squeezed out his card, but could only manage to find a {3-} to find himself sent to the rail alongside Schneider as Grapenthien climbs to 40,000 in chips.

'Wig Out

Eric Rodawig has become the latest casualty of this lowball bustathon. We didn't catch the cards, but we saw his stack being shipped over to Steve Diano, who was back up to 70,000 after the hand.
