Catching the action on fifth street, Brian Townsend led the betting with Erick Lindgren calling him all the way to a showdown.

Townsend showed trip eights as Lindgren mucked. Lindgren is down to 22,500 while Townsend now commands over 300,000 chips to be amongst the chip leaders.
Justin Smith raised under the gun with Daniel Alaei calling in the cutoff position and Al Barbieri coming along from the big blind.
They saw a flop of and Barbieri led out with a bet. Smith put in a raise, which forced a fold from Alaei, but Barbieri made the call. The turn was the and Barbieri fired out again. This time Smith just flat-called, and again on the river.
Barbieri opened for the rivered flush and took down the pot. Barbieri is at 150,000, while Smith down to 61,000.
Joe Hachem got his last chips in the middle in a giant stud pot, and it didn't end so well for the beloved Aussie.
Joe Hachem: (X-X) / / (X)
Konstantin Puchkov: (X-X) / / (X)
Brandon Adams: (X-X) / / (X)
Hachem started the action with a bet on fourth street, when we picked up the hand, and Adams raised. Puchkov called all in, and Hachem flatted the extra bet. On fifth, Joe check-called, but he went back to betting on sixth. Adams called, and on seventh, Hachem moved all in for his last 2,500. Adams called with for aces up and an eight-six low. Hachem turned over , and couldn't beat anything. He stood up to leave, shaking everybody's hand.
And then the table remembered that Puchkov was all in too. He squeezed his hand out slowly, finally showing . "Two outs...got it!" Puchkov said. He took half of the main pot with his set of deuces, staying alive with 35,000. Dragging the rest of the giant pot, Brandon Adams is up to 255,000. "The Brandon Adams show everyone," deadpanned tablemate Todd Brunson.
Scotty Nguyen raised it up from late position with Chris Ferguson defending his big blind with a call. They both checked the flop before things got crazy on the turn. A raising war broke out that saw the last of Ferguson's chips pushed into the middle.
Nguyen:
Ferguson:
Nguyen had a set and nut low draw as Ferguson would need help with his straight draw. The river was the and Nguyen scoops to eliminate Ferguson from the tournament. Nguyen is now back up to 170,000.
We arrived at the table as the dealer was pitching cards across the table and Michael Binger was standing up in preparation of his exit from the tournament. His last stand was in razz against James Mackey with the boards running out as follows:
Binger: -X
Mackey: -X
Mackey had made an unbeatable ninety-five on sixth, leaving Binger drawing dead and eliminated from the tournament. Mackey is now up to 87,000.
Erick Lindgren wound up all in preflop from the small blind. Andrew Brown on the button was also all in and had Lindgren covered. And Greg Raymer looked them both up with the biggest stack. With two of the three all in, it was time to flip 'em before the flop.
Lindgren:
Brown:
Raymer:
The flop had Lindgren all but out, giving Brown top pair and Raymer the nut flush draw. The on the turn changed nothing, and the other black king on the river gave Brown trips and nearly a triple up. Brown dragged the 52,000-chip pot, Raymer dropped to 80,000, and Lindgren said his goodbyes.
"All right gentleman, and John Hennigan, it was nice playing with you," said Mr. Lindgren on his way out.
Jason Lester: (X-X) / / (X)
Steve Billirakis: (X-X) / / (X)
Lester called bets on fourth and fifth streets. When Billirakis checked sixth, Lester put in a bet. Billirakis called, then went back to betting on seventh despite Lester's board showing every draw in the book. Lester looked him up, but everything must have missed as Billirakis' rolled-up sevens were enough to take down the sizable pot. Steve climbed to 340,000, retaking the chip lead from Brian Townsend. Lester, on the other hand, is in trouble with 30,000.
