Wright On

A player in middle position raised, Sammy Wright called and Simon Ravnsbaek moved all in. The initial aggressor folded, but Wright made the call for his tournament life, surprising his table by showing {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Ravnsbaek had {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

The {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} flop seemed as clinical as a Ghana strike, but the Poker Gods work in mysterious ways, and after a {J-Diamonds} turn, they duly popped a bone-crunching {3-Diamonds} river onto the felt to give Wright the king high flush.

Whilst Ravnsbaek slipped to 160,000, Wright doubled through to 110,000.
