Welcome to Day 2 of Event #47, the fifth of six open-field $1,000 no-limit hold'em events on this year's WSOP schedule.

A total of 3,128 runners came out over the weekend for this one, and of that group 476 return for today's Day 2. Sergey Chernykh returns to the biggest stack today, with Tom Braband and Olivier Busquet among those in the top ten.

Others returning to above average stacks are two-time WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Madsen, four-time WSOP bracelet winner Mickey Appleman, and 2003 Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker. Scott Montgomery -- winner of the most recent of these $1,000 buy-in NLHE events (Event #36) also returns to a twice-average stack.

The top 324 finishers will be cashing, so it shouldn't be too long today until that money bubble bursts. Cards go in the air at 2:30 p.m. local time. Come back then to follow the next chapter of the Event #47 story.
