Grinder Goes Home

Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Razz

Michael Mizrachi won't be taking home back-to-back mixed game bracelets at this year's World Series. He got his last 11,000 in against Nikolai Yakovenko, who had a hand of {4-}{7-} / {6-}{8-}{10-}{6-} / {j-} which was better than Mizrachi's hand, which we didn't catch.

Even with his elimination this evening, it would be tough to argue that Mizrachi hasn't enjoyed an incredibly successful World Series to this point.

Wice Doubles Through Muldoon

Pot-Limit Omaha

We arrived just in time to see Alexander Wice check-raise all in with a flop of {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs} and getting called by Michael Muldoon. who had originally bet pot.

Muldoon: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Wice: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Wice was ahead on the flop with a set of sevens and stayed there through the {k-Hearts} on the turn and the {8-Spades} on the river.

Wice now has 150,000 while Muldoon has fallen to 41,000.

Edit: Just a few hands later, Muldoon lost a 2-7 hand against Jared Jaffee and was crippled. He was eliminated shortly after that.

Wice Doubles Through Chen

No-Limit Hold'em

Just before we left for break, Bill Chen had raised to 7,000 from the button and was called by Dario Minieri. Alexander Wice decided to move all in for a total of 31,300 with Chen calling but Minieri folding.

Chen: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Wice: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

It was a race, but Chen had to improve in order to eliminate Wice. He wasn't able to get there when the flop came {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, nor did he get any help from the {3-Spades} turn or the {7-Hearts} river.

Wice has now got 72,000 to work with while Chen is down to 124,0000.
