Tex Barch potted a flop, and Kevin "ImaLuckSac" MacPhee called all in for his last 13,000.
MacPhee: for overpair and straight draws
Barch: for top pair and straight draws
The turn gave Barch two pair but made MacPhee Broadway. And the on the river improved Barch to a not-any-better three pair, so MacPhee doubled up to 67,000. Tex slid to 68,000.
Ran Azor is up to 122,000 after knocking out two proverbial birds with one PLO stone. We didn't quite catch the hands, but Vivek Rajkumar and David Shane are both now at the rail.
Jose Nacho Barbero started the day on 61,900 and Dan Shak started on 100,800. They have now more than swapped stacks - Barbero up to 115,000, Shak down to just 44,500.
We caught up with them this time on the river of a board. Shak bet 24,000 and Barbero disappeared into the tank for some minutes. Eventually he called - and was good.
Shak: for a variety of straight and flush draws which never came in
Barbero: for kings
Michael Keiner was all in preflop and both Trai Dang and EPT San Remo finalist Michael Piper both called.
They saw a flop and Dang checked. Piper moved all in for 23,200. Dang called and all three were on their backs.
Keiner: for kings
Dang: for a flush draw and a gutshot
Piper: for two pair
"I'm in trouble," said Piper.
As it happened, Piper promptly turned a full house ("Boom!" he said) and got the whole pot, putting him up to around 75,000. Keiner busted out with a polite nod, and Dang was left with just 6,000.
Kevin Murphy fired 27,000 at a board, and Men Nguyen repotted. Murphy made the call with what was left of his chips and tabled for queens with a flush draw. Men had for a straight. The on the river didn't bring Murphy the club he needed, and he was eliminated while the Master moved up to 102,000.
Nacho Barbero potted, only for Dan Shak to repot from the cutoff. There followed a lengthy argument about the size of the pot; eventually it was resolved and Barbero made the call.
They saw a flop and Barbero checked. Shak bet 11,000 - and Barbero promptly check-raised all in while Shak pulled a face. Eventually he folded, and Barbero showed him .
Barry Greenstein needed an Ace on the River to survive, but he didn't get one and was forced to sign over his book to his executioner, Ran Azor. With the Bear's chips added to his stack, he's up to 85,000.
Scott Fischman didn't have many chips to start the day, and he's down to none after a few minutes. He saw a flop and got his whole stack in with . Too bad Daniel Makowsky had flopped a wheel with . The turn and river sent Fischman back into the hall.
