We caught up with the action when the board read . Men Nguyen fired 7,000, and Ryan "G0lfa" D'Angelo made it 25,000 to go. Kyle Bowker snap folded, and Nguyen made the call after a few tries at counting out the correct amount. The river paired the board with the . Nguyen bet 40,000, and it only took Ryan a second to announce a call. Nguyen started to turn over his hand but stopped when he saw D'Angelo had turned a wheel with . Nguyen threw his cards into the muck.
"I put you on a flush draw, not a set," Ryan said. "Good bet though. I thought about folding." Whether he ever thought about it or not, Ryan made the right call and is up to 260,000. Nguyen is sinking fast and down to 150,000.
Five players made it to the flop and it checked around to Jason Mercier who bet 11,000. Two players got out of the way but Micah Smith in the big blind called, as did Gary Bolden in mid position. Intriguing.
All three players checked the turn, and they proceeded to the river - the . Smith bet out 22,000 and Bolden spent some time in the tank before folding. Over to Mercier, who now raised to 60,000. But Smith went all in and Mercier folded instantly.
Dmitry Nemirovsky and Ben Middleton were raising and reraising each other all in. Somehow Men Nguyen got involved in a shouting match with Middleton, and the floor had to come over to calm things down enough to continue the hand. "All right, let's see who has the real aces," Ryan D'Angelo said as they players turned up their hands. Turns out the both did.
Middleton:
Nemirovsky:
"I'll take the five-six of diamonds," said G0lfa, calling it.
The flop gave Middleton a gutshot, and the on the turn added five outs. Bink. The on the river filled his straight, and Middleton gave a fist pump. Nemirovsky couldn't believe his eyes. He paid out 105,000 to double Middleton, leaving himself with just 30,000 and a beat red bald head.
Nguyen went back to berating Middleton after the hand, though the Master kept repeating "I don't say anything."
"No, except to the dealers," Middleton shot back. That's when the floor stepped in and threatened both with a one-round penalty if either said another word that wasn't "bet, raise, or call."
We just caught the extreme tail end of the hand, which involved almost all of Michael Piper's chips heading into the stack of Danny Smith as Piper announced, "So brutal." We understand it was aces against aces, and the board brought a treat for Smith.
Ryan D'Angelo bet at a flop, and Men Nguyen moved all in for his last 36,000. Julian Gardner reshoved for 70,000, and D'Angelo called them both.
Nguyen: for top pair
Gardner: for second pair and the nut-flush draw
D'Angelo: for an inferior flush draw, second pair, backdoor straight draw, and set draw
The turn gave Nguyen trips, and the river blanked for everyone. Nguyen tripled up to 165,000. Gardner took the side pot with kings and queens with an ace, meaning he's up to 130,000. And D'Angelo dropped to 170,000.
"YES!" cried Nguyen as he tripled up.
"Uh-oh," said someone at the next table, "I don't like that sound..."
Josh Tieman was all in on a flop, and Ali al Jenabi called to put him at risk as the bubble approaches.
Tieman: for two pair with a gutshot
Jenabi: for an overpair, top pair, and one of Tieman's gutshot outs
The on the turn gave Tieman three pair and Jenabi an open-ender. But the river blanked. Tieman's two pair doubled him up, and a few hands later, he was stacking 205,000. Al Jenabi was left with 80,000.
There were two limpers before Mike Piper shoved from the button. One limper folded quickly, but Ran Azor thought about it for a long time. Eventually he folded and turned to us. "No action, sorry." he laughed.
Next hand Azor and Piper got to the flop before Piper's chips went in.
Piper:
Azor:

The unfortunate Piper is busto, two places off the money. Azor is up to 400,000.
It's that time again. We'll pause for 20 minutes so players can gather strength for hand-for-hand which is only one elimination away. After this break, there are two levels left in the night. With 47 still kicking and a bubble yet to burst, looks like tomorrow will be a long day and night and possibly day again to reach a winner.
