Buchanan Doubles Through Trickett

I let FBT celebrate for me.
I let FBT celebrate for me.

Sam Trickett opened to 76,000 with the button and Shawn Buchanan moved all in for 768,000 more from the small blind. The big blind released and Trickett tank-called.

Buchanan: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Trickett: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Greg "FBT" Mueller sprinted down from the media risers to sweat his friend Buchanan as the flop fell {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}. The {4-Clubs} on the turn was clean for Buchanan as well, and Mueller turned to the rail and whispered, "One more" with his index finger in the air.

The {7-Spades} bricked on the river, and Mueller gave a nice Kobe Bryant fist-pump to celebrate the double-up.

Buchanan doubled to 1,700,000 chips while Trickett slipped to 2,140,000.

Buchanan Can't Call the River

Sam Trickett opened for 100,000 from the small blind and Shawn Buchanan called from the big blind.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Trickett led out for 125,000 and Buchanan called. The turn came the {7-Diamonds} and Trickett fired a second bullet for 250,000. Again, Buchanan called. The river was the {3-Hearts} and Trickett made it 600,000 to go. Buchanan tanked for close to five minutes before folding.

Trickett is up to 3.4 million and Buchanan is down to 915,000.

Chips for Kassela

Frank Kassela opened to 80,000 from middle position and Dan "djk123" Kelly called him with the button.

The flop fell {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Kassela led for 145,000. Kelly called.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Kassela slowed down, checking to Kelly who bet 250,000. Kassela check-raised to 750,000, and Kelly released.

Kelly is still very healthy with 3,750,000 chips and Kassela chipped up to 2,150,000.

Isaac Haxton Eliminated in 9th Place ($104,651)

Isaac Haxton - 9th Place
Isaac Haxton - 9th Place

Action folded to Sam Trickett in the small blind who moved all in for effectively 400,000 chips. Haxton called all in, and the hands were opened:

Trickett: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Haxton: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

There was paint on the flop, but Haxton did not make a pair when the dealer fanned {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The {9-Hearts} on the turn gave Haxton a gut-shot draw, but the {2-Clubs} bricked on the river eliminating him in 9th place.

With the knockout, Trickett is now up to 2,750,000 chips.
