Bränder Busts Bronshtein, Advances

Andre Bränder had Yuval Bronshtein all in and at risk after a series of betting before the flop and the hands were opened:

Showdown
Bränder: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Bronshtein: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Bronshtein was safe after the {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and the {7-Diamonds} on the turn, but the {10-Spades} spiked on the river eliminating him from the tournament.

Bränder meanwhile will have an opportunity to parlay this victory into a potential bracelet run tomorrow when he returns for Day 2.

Pocket Aces No Good for Gregorich

Mark Gregorich was all in on a {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board against Matt Kelly. Gregorich turned over {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} for top set but Kelly said, "I have the nuts."

"That figures," Gregorich said as Kelly revealed {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a straight. Gregorich still had out but missed when the {J-Diamonds} hit the river. Gregorich shook Kelly's hand and made his exit from the tournament. Kelly, on the other hand, advances to Day 2.

Comeback Kid

Terrence Chan was very short entering four-handed play, but he battled all the way back and won his table.

Chan was nice enough to let us in on the last hand, and according to him he called a raise with {K-}{10-} and the flop fell {k-}{6-}{4-}. After a series of bets and raises, Chan's opponent was all in with {5-}{5-} and couldn't draw out.

With the win, Chan is guaranteed $4,135 and a shot at what would be his second final table appearance at this year's WSOP.
