A few minutes ago Julio Marines was our chip leader. Incredibly he's now on the rail, but such is the fickle nature of Pot-Limit Omaha.
Marines last chips went in on a flop of but we didn't catch what Marines held as his opponent Ben Blackmore showed for top set which improved to quads following the turn and river.
Marines is out as Blackmore now sits with 620,000.
There will now be a brief pause as the players redraw for the final three tables of play. We've also just received word that one of those tables will be relocated to the secondary feature table to help accommodate the swarm of fans here on the rail.
Three players went to a flop of where Michael Binger led out for 65,000. Matthew Wheat moved all in for about 125,000 to force a fold from David Ulliott, but Binger made the call.
Binger:
Wheat:
Wheat held the lead with his pair of aces but Binger spiked two pair when the hit the turn. That changed around again on the river and Wheat improved to aces and threes to stay alive! He doubles to 370,000 with Binger back to 260,000.
Ben Blackmore was all in with his tournament life on the line against Julio Marines in a preflop clash.
Blackmore:
Marines:
Blackmore had the aces but he didn't use them as the board was spread to give Blackmore a surprising two pair, fours and deuces, to take it down. Blackmore doubles up to 345,000 with Marines back to 490,000.
Jason Lester raised to 24,000 before Leandro Pimentel made it 87,000 to play. Lester moved all in and Pimentel made the call.
Lester:
Pimentel:
It was aces versus kings with Pimentel's tournament on the line but he found some help on the board to make a full house and double through. He's up to 280,000 with Lester down to 66,000.
Timothy Flanders was short-stacked but decided to limp in preflop from under the gun, before calling a bet on the flop and calling off what he had left on the turn against Ludovic Lacay. The board read and the cards were revealed as follows:
Flanders:
Lacay:
Flanders held two pair but Lacay had a straight which held through the river. Flanders is out in 29th place as Lacay now sits with 580,000 chips.
Ben Lamb raised from the hijack and Julio Marines made the call in the cutoff position. They took a flop of and Lamb bet 41,000. Marines announced a raise of the pot and Lamb called off his last chips.
Lamb:
Marines:
Lamb held kings with a flush draw as Marines tabled a big straight draw wrap. Marines connected with the turn to give him a straight which improved to a ten-high straight on the river.
Lamb is out as Marines is now up to 780,000 and the chip lead.
