Estes Getting Shorter

Josh Tieman raised to 25,000, and Danny Estes called. Both players checked the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. Estes took a 35,000-chip stab at the {q-Hearts} on the turn, and Tieman called. One barrel was all Estes was willing to try, and he went back to checking after the {8-Hearts} on the river. Tieman checked behind and flipped over {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, taking down the smallest pot possible with his strong hand.

Tieman is content with small ball for now. He's in charge with 690,000, and Estes is down to 210,000.
