Filippi's Seventy-Six

Action folded to the button and Amnon Filippi raised. The small blind reraised and then Filippi called. The small blind stood pat and Filippi drew two. The small blind then checked and Filippi called.

On the next draw, the small blind stood pat and Filippi drew one. The small blind checked, Filippi bet and the small blind called. On the final draw, the small blind broke his hand and drew one. Filippi stood pat.

Filippi then fired a bet after the small blind checked and was called. He spread the {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and the small blind mucked his hand. Filippi now has 12,000 chips.

Standing Out

A few bigger stacks are emerging around the room. Maria Ho has more than doubled her starting stack and is up to about 17,000. Adam Friedman is up to 15,000, Shawn Sheikhan has about 12,000, and Dan "djk123" Kelly has about 12,000 as well.

Toth Takes One Off Ivey

Phil Ivey raised in the cutoff and was called by Amnon Filippi on the button and Richard Toth in the big blind. Toth drew two, Ivey one, and Filippi two. Toth checked and Ivey bet, receiving calls from both opponents.

Toth drew one on the second draw, as did Ivey, and Filippi drew two. It was checked to Ivey again and he bet, chasing away Filippi. Toth called and stood pat, while Ivey once again drew one card. Toth checked and Ivey did the same, but mucked when Toth tabled {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}.

The Hungarian Pro moved up to 9,000 while Ivey slipped to 6,600. Following the hand, Ivey left the room and went back to the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout where his table is currently four-handed.

Giang Slipping

Roland Isra and Chau Giang both drew one apiece on the first draw. Isra then check-called Giang's bet before both players drew one apiece on the second draw. Isra then decided to lead out and Giang called.

On the third draw, Isra stood pat and Giang drew one. Isra then fired before Giang's draw card was pushed to him. Giang squeezed his last card, but it wasn't what he was looking for and he tossed his hand away. Giang was left with just 3,250 chips.

On the final draw, both players drew one again. Two more checks followed by both players before each of them exposed a {J-}. "Seven!" announced Negreanu, to which his opponent mucked and Negreanu tabled the {J-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. He's now up to 9,500 chips.
