Battle of the Blinds

Max Steinberg limped from the small blind and Pascal LeFrancois checked his option. The flop came down {9-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Both players checked to the turn, which brought the {6-Spades}.

Steinberg checked and Pascal threw in a bet of 65,000. Max made the call and the {2-Diamonds} hit the river.

Both players checked.

Pascal's {q-Hearts}{10-} was no match for Steinberg's {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Steinberg took the pot.

Brazilian Song and Dance

Daniel Wjuniski moved all in from the cutoff for 340,000. Max Steinberg called from the small blind.

Steinberg: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Wjuniski: {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The flop came down {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Wjuniski would need a straight card or a seven to stay alive. His contingency of railbirds started shouting for a four. Wjuniski had the Brazilian flag draped around his shoulders waiting for his fate.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and the rail went wild.

The river was the {q-Hearts} and Wjuniski raked in his chips and his followers treated us to a song and dance. It feels like the World Cup in here.
