Gargiulo-a-go-go!

Habib Khanis raised under the gun to 5,200 and Anthony Gargiulo pushed all in for 24,000. Khanis called and flipped over the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Gargiulo was looking for help with his {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The flop made things interesting when it came {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, giving Gargiulo a flush draw. The {7-Hearts} turn was no help, so it was down to one card. The {K-Diamonds} came on the river and Gargiulo was sent packing.

Khanis is now up to 130,000.

JohnnyBax Gets Caught, Then Gets Some Back

Cliff Josephy
Cliff Josephy

We caught up with the action on the river of a big hand between Cliff Josephy and Samuel Dickson. There was already about 50,000 in the middle and the board read {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} when JohnnyBax bet 30,000. Dickson snap-shoved, and Bax didn't have to do much thinking before he folded. Dickson showed {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a seven-high straight as he scooped the pot and jumped to 170,000. "Good fold," Dickson said. "Well, I had nine-high." He tweeted a few minutes later that he'd had {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and had bricked just about every draw in the book.

Josephy was down to 20,900 after the failed bluff, and he moved all in from early position the next hand with {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Jesse Yaginuma called with {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Bax took the lead on the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, but Yaginuma picked up a straight draw. He didn't hit though, and after the {7-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river, Josephy doubled up to 47,000.

Kelso In the House

Blake Kelso raised to 5,200 in middle position, only to have Tim West shove all in for 31,500. Action folded back around to Kelso who made the call with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

West was ahead with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and was looking good to double when the flop came {4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}. That all changed when the {K-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Suddenly West needed an eight to stay alive.

Alas, it was not meant to be as the {3-Spades} came on the river. West was eliminated while Kelso increased his stack to 132,000.

Bellande Gets a Little Back

A player in Seat 6 raised to 4,000 and was called by Jean-Robert Bellande in the cut off position. Everyone else folded and the flop came {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

Seat 6 bet 7,500 and was instantly raised by Bellande to 23,000. Seat 6 thought for a few moments before mucking.

"I thought you were going to do it kid," said Bellande.

"I had a good hand," Seat 6 responded.

"I know I had you beat," Bellande boasted.

Paging Bruce Stern

After nearly three hours, there is still one empty chair in the field. Just over 75,000 in chips were taken out of Bruce Stern's bag for him today, but he still hasn't shown up yet. He's made a few pay jumps in his absence, but he has blinded down to 45,000.

Utley Doubles Through Bellande

Jean Robert-Bellande
Jean Robert-Bellande

Three players over at Table 373, including Jean-Robert Bellande, saw a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

After all players checked, the turn came {8-Spades}. Darin Utley checked and an unknown player bet 8,500. Bellande called only to have Utley shove all in for 55,200. The unknown player folded and Bellande made the call.

Bellande: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Utley: {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The river was the {9-Diamonds}, giving Utley a full house, and dropping Bellande to 127,000.
