Flush For Fatima

With the board reading {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Fatima Moreira De Melo checked, her opponent bet 2,000 before De Melo put in the check-raise to make it 5,000 to play. Her opponent called and then another 7,000 on the {4-Hearts} river. De Melo opened {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a flush to scoop the pot. She's up to 42,000.

Moneymaker Living Large Again

There have been lots of peaks and valleys for Chris Moneymaker today. He's climbing high once again after eliminating an opponent. The hand was a heads-up raised flop of {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Moneymaker's opponent took the lead with a bet of 1,800 that Moneymaker called. When the turn came {10-Spades}, Moneymaker's opponent made another bet of 3,200. Moneymaker raised that bet to 8,200, then called after his opponent moved all in. That player's pocket kings, {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, were drawing dead against Moneymaker's made straight, {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. The river {2-Hearts} sealed the deal.

Nice Call Praz

Praz Bansi
Praz Bansi

Praz Bansi was faced with bets of 1,200 on the flop, 3,200 on the turn and 6,800 on the river on a board of {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Spades}. Bansi had to think about it on the river, but eventually tossed in calling chips.

"Nice call," said Bansi's opponent as he revealed {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for king-high. Bansi showed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} to take it down. He's up to 63,000.

Bienvenido a Miami

One name we haven't called much yet today is "Miami" John Cernuto. Cernuto has two cashes at this year's WSOP, in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event and the $5,000 PLO8 event. He's up to a very quiet 41,000 after recently taking a small pot down with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} on a 9-high board.

Nothing for Rosen

After a player in middle position raised, Jamie Rosen three-bet from the hijack seat. The original raiser called and the flop came down {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

The player in middle position bet 2,000 and Rosen raised to 7,000. His opponent folded and Rosen showed the {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a bunch of nothing, moving back to 35,000 in chips.

One for Vinh

The player on the button raised to 675 before Vinny Vinh reraised from the small blind to 2,250. The button four-bet to 5,550 and Vinh called.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and Vinh checked. His opponent fired 6,600 and Vinh raised to 17,000. His opponent folded and Vinh won the pot to move up to 43,000 in chips.

Haxton Out

The cameras were swarming around the table of Isaac Haxton as he moved his last chips into the middle, but he wasn't exactly giving them much to film as he pulled his hoodie over his head and put his head into his arms on top of the table until the hand was over.

He had two callers who checked the {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop before 12,000 was committed on the {A-Clubs} turn - not a good sign for Haxton. The river was the {9-Hearts} and the two live players checked it down. They showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} as Haxton surfaced for air to see that he was beat with his {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

"Up against two unpaired hands and I still lose?" sighed Haxton as the ESPN cameras followed his stroll towards the Amazon Room exit.

Kellstrom, Klausen Battle In Set-Over-Set Situation

Dana Kellstrom opened to 800 from early position and Jonas Klausen made the call out of the blinds to see a {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds} flop fall.

Klausen led out for 1,100 and Kellstrom made the call to see the {3-Hearts} land on the turn and Klausen continue with a bet of 3,050.

Kellstrom again made the call as the river landed the {9-Diamonds}. Klausen checked, and Kellstrom fired out 5,000 only to have Klausen check-raise all in with Kellstrom quickly making the call.

Klausen tabled his {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a turned set, but it would be Kellstrom's {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} for top set that would see him collect the pot and ove to 37,500 as Klausen slipped to just 4,000 in chips.

Chip Leaders Battle

On a flop of {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, Kevin McGowan fired out 2,200 and Tyler Smith made the call to see the {6-Hearts} land on the turn and McGowan fire out 5,200.

Smith made the call as the {3-Clubs} landed on the river and McGowan pushed out a bet of 8,000.

Smith made the call and tabled his {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to prompt a muck from McGowan as he slips to 100,000 while Smith climbs to 133,500 in chips.

Steicke Surrenders

David Steicke has just been eliminated from the Main Event.

Finding himself all in holding {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, he was unfortunately up against a superior pair of {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} to see Steicke unable to stay alive and consequently make his way to the rail just shy of the break.
