T.J. Cloutier Eliminated in 9th Place ($25,000)

T.J. Cloutier - 9th Place
T.J. Cloutier - 9th Place

Daniel Negreanu raised preflop, and T.J. Cloutier called on the button. Annie Duke paid to join them from the big blind. The flop came out {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}, and Duke and Negreanu both checked. Cloutier fired 12,000. That was enough to fold out Duke, but Negreanu made the call. After the {6-Clubs} on the turn, Negreanu stuck out enough chips to put Cloutier all in. And T.J. made the call.

Cloutier: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Negreanu: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Negreanu had laid his trap well, and Cloutier stepped right into it. T.J. was way behind, and the {7-Spades} on the river didn't help him catch up. With the knock out, Negreanu is over 240,000.

Cloutier is the first to be eliminated from the official final table, but not to worry. You can buy a lot of cookies with $25,000.

Negreanu Pays Hachem Off

Daniel Negreanu raised it up preflop and Joe Hachem called. On the {3-Clubs}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, Daniel bet 7,600 and Hachem called. The {10-Spades} went check, check, only for Hachem to lead for a small bet of 3,500 on the {5-Clubs} river. Negreanu made the call but mucked upon seeing the Aussie's {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. "If you bet like 8,000, I fold," Negreanu added in the aftermath.

Duke Jacked Up

Annie Duke
Annie Duke

Jen Harman raised to 5,500 on the button, and Annie Duke shipped it for about 15,000 more from the big blind. Harman called, and it was time for a flip.

Duke: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Harman: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The board fell {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and Duke's pair held up to double her to 33,000. Harman dropped down to 35,000.
