We just watched a short-stacked Huck Seed split a pot with Tom Dwan on a board. Seed was all in by the time the turn card rolled around, and his ended up being good enough to take the high half. Dwan's took the low.
On the next hand, Seed raised under the gun, and Chris George flatted to see a heads-up flop. It came , and Seed bet. George called there, and he called another bet after the turn. The river came the , and Seed didn't like it at all. He checked, and George put out the pink chip for the bet. Seed grimaced, shook his head, and folded with 2,200 chips left.
On the next hand, those 2,200 chips were committed to the big blind, and Seed was facing five-way action. The board ran out , and Tom Dwan tabled to take the low half. Seed's had backed into a flush, and that's going to keep him around for now. He's back up to 5,500, and there's still a lot of work to be done.
David Steicke raised on the button, and found one caller in Daniel Alaei from the big blind. The flop came down , and Alaei check-called a bet from Steicke. The two checked on the turn () and the river ().
Steicke opened for a pair of aces and an eighty-six low, and Alaei showed for the same pair of aces, but no low.
Tom "durrrr" Dwan raised preflop and was re-raised by Todd Barlow. Dwan called. The flop came down , and Dwan check-called a bet from Barlow.
The turned, and Dwan check-raised Barlow this time. Barlow called. The on the river paired the board, and Dwan led out for the first time. Barlow called.
Dwan:
Barlow:
Dwan had trip deuces, but Barlow's ace-high flush was best, and he scooped the pot.
We picked up the action on a flop. Alex Kostritsyn checked it to Dario Alioto who bet, but Andrew Barber made it two bets. Both Kostritsyn and Alioto called to see the turn. They both check-called Barber's bet again and did the same on the river.
Barber showed for nut-nut, scooping the entire pot.
Humberto Brenes was all in for his last couple of thousand against Richard Ashby with the board reading . Brenes' was trailing Ashby's , but any diamond would give him a flush, and running low cards would give him the best low.
Unfortunately for the shark. the turn and river came , respectively, and he was eliminated from the tournament.
From middle position, Andy Bloch raised and then Jason Mercier reraised from the hijack seat. Nick Schulman paused in the big blind before folding and then Bloch made the call to see a flop against just Mercier.
The flop come down paired with the rolling out. Bloch check-raised Mercier's bet and was called before the landed on the turn. Bloch fired and Mercier called.
The hit the river and Bloch fired again. Mercier was right there with another call. Hands please.
Mercier showed the for a full house, threes full of aces. Bloch tabled the for a low. Chop it up boys.
