Tilly Seeing Double

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

Jennifer Tilly raised to 75 and found two callers, one in position and another from the small blind. The flop came down {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Tilly continuation bet 150. The player in position folded but the small blind check-raised to 400 and Tilly quickly let go of her hand.

The very next hand, Tilly made the same raise to 75 and found callers from the same two players. The flop came a nearly identical {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, but this time all three players checked. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and Tilly fired 200. One player called while the other folded and the two saw the {9-Hearts} river heads up. Tilly fired 325 and her opponent called.

Tilly showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for quads. Her opponent quietly said, "Yeah... that's good," which gave the table a good laugh.

"Should Have Given You a Walk."

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

Eric Baldwin, in the small blind, was facing a 300 river bet from the player in the big blind. The board was {Q-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {5-Spades}. Baldwin was unsure whether to call and said, "I should have given you a walk."

The table chuckled as the small and blind are 25 at the moment. Baldwin called the 300 but mucked when his opponent tabled {9-Spades} {2-Spades} for a flopped two-pair.

Welcome back to the Pavilion Room at the Rio in Las Vegas!

Today we have scheduled Event 12, the $1,500 No-Limit Triple Chance Tournament, to start at noon local time. In a "Triple Chance" tournament format, each player will be given 1,500 chips and two "rebuy lammers" that are worth 1,500 chips each. Each player has to decide when to use these rebuy lammers for themselves as they can be traded in before any hand through the first four levels. At the end of the fourth level they will be automatically traded in if they have not yet been used. Some players will use the lammers before the very first hand to give themselves a head start right away while others will save them for a rebuy if they get coolered or make a bad decision early.

Last year, the $3,000 Triple Chance tournament brought out 965 runners and saw Ryan Welch take down his first bracelet. With the win, Welch took home more than $550,000 and a ton of respect from the poker community for winning such a large and strategic tournament.

Today's action is set to kick off in about 15 minutes at 12 pm local time (GMT-7) and as always, PokerNews will be covering all of the action from start to finish. If the field sizes and star-power through the first eleven events this year are any indication of what this tournament has in store for us, you definitely won't want to miss it!
