Raymer Takes a Hit and Keeps Smiling

Level 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

If there's a nicer guy in poker than Greg Raymer we don't know about him. The player on the button min-raised on the button and Raymer moved all in from the big blind. The player called for 3,100 and the hands were turned up.

Raymer: {A-Diamonds} {9-Spades}
Player: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}

The board ran {4-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {J-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} and Raymer lamented, "I wish I had ace eight." Raymer never stopped smiling as he sent chips across the table.

Sorel is Mizzzzz

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

...erable.

Sorel Mizzi raised from early position to 350. The cutoff called and the big blind three bet to 1,250. Mizzi decided to push the action with a four-bet all in for about 6,000 which isolated the action with the player in the big blind.

The opponent, who had more chips than Mizzi, made the call and we were racing. Mizzi's {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} was slightly behind the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of his opponent and the {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} was no help to Mizzi's overcard's. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river bricked the {3-Clubs} and Mizzi hit the rail.

Time To Turn In Rebuy Lammers

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

We have reached the end of Level 4 and players are going on their second 20-minute break of the day. This is also the time that all the rebuy lammers have to be cashed in. Registration will be closed once the break is over and as soon as we can give you solid registration and payout numbers we will.

Blair Hinkle with a Double

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

We picked up the action on the river in a three way pot. The board was {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and the first player checked before the second player bet 1,425. Hinkle, third to act, re-raised all in for 5,100 and after some deliberation, the initial bettor called.

Hinkle showed {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a full house, well ahead of the {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flush of his opponent. Hinkle now sits with 12,000 chips.

Shak's Pair No Good

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Beth Shak was in middle position and checked the flop of {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} to a late position player. He bet 1,375 and Shak moved all in. He made the call with 3,000 more behind.

Shak: {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}
Late Position: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}

The board completed with {K-Spades} {3-Spades} and Shak slipped to just over 9,000.

Van Zadelhoff Making Moves

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Many of you have been asking about Steven Van Zadelhoff and we are here to deliver.

The structure in any $1,500 Event has a tendency to make players play fast. As such, you tend to see chip stacks accumulate early as people are forced to play their stack short. However, Steven Van Zadelhoff has already amassed an amazing 19,600 chips and is the current chip leader as far as we can tell.

Tilly Gone

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

On a {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board, Jennifer Tilly check-raised all in for her final 2,300 after her opponent bet 600. After thinking for a full minute or two, the player decided to call with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and was happy to find that Tilly had not made her hand yet. She held {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for top pair and an open-ended straight draw.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and brought her boat outs to replace her straight draw. However, today just wasn't her day. While the river {8-Spades} gave her a straight, her opponent had already made a full house and she politely hit the rail.

Froehlich Staying Busy

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Eric Froehlich is keeping himself busy since landing in the White section of the Pavilion room. He was in a hand with another on the flop of {7-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {9-Hearts}. Froehlich moved all in and was called.

Froehlich: {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}
Player: {J-} {10-}

Froehlich was behind, but the {Q-Spades} turn swung things back his way. The river fell {7-Clubs} and Froehlich is up to 13,000 already.
