Harman Staying Alive

After a series of raises preflop Jennifer Harman was all-in with {J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} against her opponent's {J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. The cards fell {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Harman's king high was enough to double up.

Grizzle-Bear Attack

The betting on the hand is a mystery to us, but we came upon the table just in time to see Mark Dickstein's {10-Spades}{9-Spades} being defeated by Sam Grizzle's {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. It was a big pot that saw Grizzle chip up to 51,000 while Dickstein was left with just 500; needless to say, the short-stack was eliminated on the very next hand.

A Tale of Two Justins

We didn't catch all the action, but we can confirm that Leandro Vlastaris was eliminated by the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} of Justin Bonomo.

Meanwhile, a short-stacked Justin Young was recently sent to the rail after failing to mount a comeback.

Position Poker

We managed to get to David Chiu's table just as he was raising on the button into a board of {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, both blinds called.

A turn {10-Diamonds} allowed for both the blinds to check and an agressive Chiu to bet out. This time however he was only able to convince the Small Blind to come along for the ride.

For the first time in the hand it was the Small Blind who bet out after seeing a {A-Diamonds} river. Chui seemingly very confident in his hand raised his opponent's bet and the Small Blind folded.

Mueller a Limit-Hold'em Beast

Greg "FBT" Mueller is no stranger to limit hold'em. Back in 2009, Mueller captured two World Series of Poker gold bracelets in limit-hold'em events. The first came when he won defeated 185 players to win the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship for $460,841. Just a couple weeks later, Mueller took down the $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout for another $194,909.

Today, Mueller is in contention for his third limit hold'em bracelet with a top-ten chip count. In a recent hand, Mueller raised from the cutoff only to face a three-bet from Ervin Tormos in the small blind. Mueller refused to back down and put in a four-bet, which Tormos called. The latter then check-called a bet on the {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, leading to the {2-Diamonds} on the turn.

Tormos checked, Mueller bet, and his opponent check-raised. Mueller put in the three-bet, a called ensued, and the {7-Diamonds} hit the river. Once again Tormos check-called a bet only to see Mueller reveal {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the ace-high flush.

D'Angelo Losing with the Worst of It

We found Ryan D'Angelo check-calling his opponent's bet on a flop of {6-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

The {J-Hearts} turn was enough for D'Angelo to take control of the hand, and he came out betting. He was quickly called and both players were off to see a river.

A {9-Diamonds} rolled off for the river and D'Angelo again bet out. He was summarily called and was displeased to find that his {10-}{10-} was no match for his opponent's {K-}{Q-}.

The Instant Muck

We found Phil Laak at his table raising from the cut-off before the flop only to receive two callers from both the blinds. A flop of {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{K-Hearts} was enough for Laak as he bet out after both other players checked. However only the Small Blind was willing to pay to see a turn.

Fourth street brought with it a {10-Diamonds} as well as checks from both players.

A river {J-Diamonds} and a check from the Small Blind allowed for Laak to fire out again only to be called. The Small Blind then flipped over {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, and Laak instantly mucked.

Katchalov Can't Catch

Eugene Katchalov was all in preflop holding {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and far behind the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} of Brent Wheeler. Katchalov desperately needed a queen or spades, but the {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} provided no help. The {5-Clubs} turn left him drawing to a queen on the river, but it was not meant to be as the {8-Diamonds} peeled off.

Katchalov was eliminated early on Day 2.

Buchanan Picks Off a Bluff

On a board reading {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Justin Young led out with a bet and was called by Shawn Buchanan. "Good call," Young said as soon as his opponent's chips hit the felt. Buchanan quickly rolled over {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} to take down the pot.
