Schrieber Flushed

We found Matt Schreiber putting out a bet into the Big Blind on a {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} board and received a call. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn was quickly called by his opponent. It was the {A-Clubs} on the river that prevented Schreiber from betting, however it didn't stop the Big Blind who put out a bet.

Schreiber made the call and was shown the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a flush, Schreiber summarily mucked.

Scatchard Scoops One

Shawn Buchanan raised from the hijack seat, David Scatchard put in three bets on the button, and Buchanan called. The flop fell {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Buchanan check-called a bet, and the turn was the {9-Clubs}.

Again, Buchanan check-called a bet.

The river was the {10-Spades}, and Buchanan checked one last time. Scatchard bet, Buchanan mucked, and Scatchard shipped the pot.

Squeaky vs. FBT

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

For those who don't know, Michael "Squeaky" Winnett is an...interesting character. He is quite boisterous at the table - singing whatever is coming out of his white, Beats By Dre headphones - and is unafraid to speak his mind at all times. This isn't very conduscive at the poker table however, and he was just semi-threatened by Greg "FBT Mueller.

Mueller walked over from an adjacent table, (playfully) put his hands around Winnett's neck, and began choking him.

"Shut the f*** up buddy," he told Winnett with a grin. "You're killing us."

"I'm the next Greg Mueller!" Winnett squeaked.

Soulier Sends Chan Packing

A few hands after Terrence Chan lost to Stephanie Nguyen, he got involved in a hand with Fabrice Soulier. A player in early position opened from early position, Soulier put in three-bets, and Chan pushed in the rest of his stack from the big blind. Both the original raiser and Soulier called.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}, and Soulier's opponent check-called a bet. The turn was the {9-Clubs}, and this time Soulier's opponent check-folded to a bet.

Chan opened {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for king-high, and Soulier tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens. Chan couldn't find a king on the river ({5-Diamonds}), and was eliminated from the tournament.

Nguyening!

Stephanie Nguyen raised from under the gun, Terrence Chan made it three bets from the cutoff seat, and Nguyen made the call. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}, and Nguyen check-called a bet from Chan. Both players checked the {7-Hearts} on the turn, and the river brought the suicide king - the {k-Hearts}. Nguyen led out, and Chan mucked.

Haxton Heading Home

We caught up to Haxton's table again to see him getting all-in preflop against the Big Blind. Cards were flipped and we were off to the flop-turn-river to see if Haxton was going to stay alive in this tournament.

Haxton: {K-Spades}{3-Spades}
Big Blind: {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The cards fell {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} giving the Big Blind two pair and Haxton king high.

Chiu Calling his way to Victory

We found Isaac Haxton betting into David Chiu on a board of {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} a few moments ago. After calling Haxton's bet both players saw the {8-Diamonds} on the turn, and again Haxton bet out and was called by Chiu.

A river {K-Diamonds} brought with it the same action as before with Haxton betting and Chiu calling. Hands were flipped and Haxton held {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds} which was no good seeing as Chiu had {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a better pair.

Cantu Tripped Up

A player in the cutoff seat raised, Brandon Cantu re-raised on the button, and his opponent called. The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, and Cantu's opponent check-called a bet. The turn was the {9-Clubs}, both players checked, and the river brought the {10-Spades}. Cantu's opponent led, he called, and mucked when his opponent tabled {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for trip tens.
